About Me

Hello! I am AC Frye, an illustrator, surface designer, and painter with a deep connection and love of nature. I work traditionally and digitally, ensuring exceptional quality and intentionality in every piece. Creating is my passion, a place where I find self-expression, peace, and joy. This drive, alongside my skill set and expertise, allows me to bring life and innovative visual solutions to any project I undertake.

I graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Illustration, concentrating in surface design, with minors in scientific illustration and painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2025. Creativity has always been my way of expressing myself since I was a child, and I began taking art seriously in middle school as I drew everyday and was heavily inspired by mandala and zentangle designs.

Throughout high school I took almost all the art classes they taught alongside ones I took at local art centers, and I developed skill in observational drawing, anatomy, and painting. But, most importantly, I found what I love doing the most, what makes my soul happy: creating. Art school is where I was headed to start my career!

At SCAD, not only did I grow immensely in my visual arts and design skills, I found a passion for botanical and scientific illustration, brought my paintings to a larger and more meaningful scale, and (last but not least) discovered surface design! The industry of surface design is large with opportunity and challenges that I have had so much fun exploring and improving in ever since I learned of it. I cannot wait to continue learning and creating more illustrations, patterns and more in the future!

Outside of art, I enjoy exploring all genres of music, busting a move on the dance floor, cycling throughout nature, tending to my plants, and designing floral arrangements.

I approach every project with devotion, guaranteeing that each illustration, design, or collaboration reflects my commitment and passion. I also value an open mind and am always eager to explore new ideas, grow creatively, and learn from every experience.
